If you’re looking for a speargun that’s big on performance while still leaving a little green in your wallet, the Explorer is perfect.
Same quality as the Magnum Series: hardened stainless trigger and shaft, cast aluminum, two piece handle, but combined with a 1” aerospace alloy barrel for quick target acquisition and fatal results. Same parallel power source and low profile design make the Explorer perfect for cagy fish when the shot window is a split second. Lightning models feature Tru-Glide rail and 9/32” shaft. These guns are all about speed and accuracy. At the end of the day it’s not the flash, but the fish count that really matters, and nothing stacks them up like the Explorer.

on this it shows the explorer 22 lightning and the explorer 20 to be different. Is this a mistake? I have the 22 lightning and it looks identical to the explorer 20 but is the same as the 22 lightning. confused me for a bit.
But for my question i was wandering if i could put a second band on my 22 lightning and a different shaft?

Get him a 38 Special NW. Thats a great gun for what he will be doing.
Michael Weyland says:
I’ve got an old JBL speargun I want to pass down to my grandson.
The aluminum tube is 16-3/4″
Butt to speartip is 26-3/4″
Overall from end of pistol grip to end of single flopper tip is 27-1/2″
I’d like to pick up a couple of spearbands for this baby.
Can you help with a spearband number?
Tanks,
Michael
JBL Hunter says:
Without knowing which gun it is I will take a guess and advise you to use #614 bands.
Blake says:
What is the difference between Explorer 22 and explorer 22 lightning?
Blake says:

james overman "12" says:
Ive got a 22″ lightning and its really accurate ive shot 1 through the eyes, 1 through the head, 1 in the body accurate but much easier to load if u put a smaleer band on it and u get 2 of them
kyle i recomend the lightning or the smallest carbine series maybe two dual wielding haha lol
