Elite Magnum Looking for a speargun that’s fast, quiet, accurate the Elite.
Elite Sawed-Off Magnum Based off our trusted Magnum grip and trigger mechanism, the Elites feature hardened, 17-4 ph stainless shafts, shark-fin sling tabs and a top flopper with 5/16” pointed thread. Shoot Tahitian-style or remove the flopper and screw on one of our break- away tips for large gamefish. Bands are Hi-Mod 5/8” O.D. with abrasion resistant, spectra cord wishbones. Now all Woody series are featuring the new “M-7″ Trigger mechanism.

You are correct. The “elite series” is loaded with a open muzzel and shark fin shaft with kevlar bands. These JBL Elite series guns are the most accurate guns on the market today.

I would like to upgrade my Elite Woody Sawed-off Magnum with 3 bands. Are there shafts available that have 3 shark fins in order to hold all 3 bands? I would not mind having a longer shaft than the original gun comes with. Where can I buy the shaft? Thanks!

Yes you can add another band if you like. Just double up on the shark fin.

I have the new Elite Woody Magnum and it’s great. Super quiet, easy to load, and deadly accurate. You can’t beat it for the price. The new grips are an improvement on older models and the shark fin tabs are big enough to put 2 slings on one tab. Throw on a slip-tip and reel and you’ve got yourself a perfect WSB gun.

Greetings i have a jbl woody elite magnum and I would like to know since i heard that the shark fins on the spear can hold up to two bands, I wanted to know if I can have four slings on my speargun, I know my gun can hold three slings but I don’t know if it can hold four also the reason I don’t use four is because I don’t want the guns’ wood to bend and break with use. Also I would just like to add that this gun is simply incredible I mean yesterday I caught a 15 pound red snapper. Thanks for such a sweet gun!!!

I had an AB biller 42″ and I selled it because I bought an used JBL elite 53″ with the old trigger mechanism and is an awsome!!! gun fast silent and accurate. I have also a 48″ AB Biller and I will sell it to buy another JBL elite 63″. I have a question you can add 3 slings to the gun?; will the old trigger mech hold it; will the new trigger mech hold it? How do the “elite series” shafts stay in place with an open muzzle? Does the Shaft fall away from the gun when its loaded and can it be shot sideways at an angle or inverted?

I went to my local dive shop and was looking at your new Elite guns. Big improvement from the last woodys, especially with the new M-7 trigger.
How do you remove the flopper to screw on another tip though. What if you want to hunt around rocky or reef areas and dont want to mess up the threads on the tip of the shaft?

If you want to remove the flopper you must carefully file down the pin that holds the flopper. If you want to put a 6mm tip on it you must use a adaptor which is part #815.
